We’re excited to open a part time position for a Conservation Coordinator to work on conservation easement and land acquisition projects in Siskiyou County. Are you passionate about land conservation and interested in growing with our organization?
Siskiyou County is land of ecological diversity and critical habitats where SLT works to permanently conserve important landscapes by working with willing partners. Our small land trust is working to increase our capacity, thanks in part to a grant from the California Department of Conservation, to make long-term impacts. We’re looking for the right person who can be self-directed and work independently while also being part of our small team. This position will report to our Conservation Director. Job duties include working with landowners and staff to develop conservation easement projects and working with agency partners on land acquisition projects. Experience with real estate transactions and a conservation background are preferred. Must be detail-orient, have strong communication skills, Excel spreadsheets and advanced word processing skills. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a variety of different settings including outdoors and a shared office space, and have excellent communication skills. The position requires a driver’s license and a vehicle for travel to site visits throughout Siskiyou County.
