On Thursday evening, November 10, the Siskiyou Land Trust will launch a new season of its popular nature slideshows with a beautiful program from photographer Tim Corcoran. The presentation, titled “The Making of a Conservationist,” begins at 7PM at the Sisson Museum Auditorium in Mt. Shasta, with a suggested donation of $8 as a fundraiser for SLT.
Corcoran, a long time Mt. Shasta resident, is founder of Headwaters Outdoor School and owner of the Tim Corcoran Gallery. As a child, Tim was molded by the wild places of Santa Cruz County, developing relationship with the trees, the animals and the Earth herself. From early days with the Santa Cruz Land Trust, to his own Mt. Shasta land and Headwaters Outdoor School, his life has become committed as a devoted Earth Keeper.
Tim’s passion for photography is unending. Old school, he still uses film and practices “seeing” with photography, expanding and contracting his vision and focus to appreciate many diverse levels of beauty. Through his fabulous photographs of Santa Cruz and the Central Coast, Tim shares his journey as an earth caretaker, always working to save the land.
