The Siskiyou Land Trust presented its third annual series of enjoyable and informative slide shows about culture, travel and adventure. All presentations were held at Mount Shasta Resort on Wednesdays at 7 PM. The slide shows are popular community events as well as a fundraiser for SLY, with a $5 donation requested.

Wed., Nov. 7: “Exploring Southeast Asia: Exotic Myanmar” Your guides Richard and Jackie Derwingson invite you to travel with them to exotic Myanmar, (Burma) and experience a corner of Asia that has changed little since British colonial times.
Wed., Dec. 5: “The Grand Canyon- Into the Great Unknown- The Hidden Slot Canyons of the Colorado River” with hosts Rick Demarest, Steve Bollock and Michael Zanger who will be showing photos and a short film trailer from their latest Grand Canyon river journey.
Wed., Jan. 9: “Italy by Foot & Train” hosted by Raven Stevens and Bayla Greenspoon
Wed, Feb 13: “Skiing on Mount Shasta and Surrounding Slopes” with Chris Carr, Shasta Mountain Guides
Wed., Mar. 13: “Art of Mount Shasta” by Bill Miesse
Wed., Apr. 3: “Restoration of Communities & Instream Habitats of the Shasta River Salmon” ** with Amy Campbell of The Nature Conservancy. ** Private tour of the project was also offered for SLT members only.
