Mark your calendars now for SLT’s popular season of slideshows! The Siskiyou Land Trust’s 7th annual series of slideshows about culture, travel and adventure will be presented on the 2nd Thursday monthly at the Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum Event Room beginning at 7 PM.
Everyone is welcome to attend. A suggested donation of $8 is requested.
Our 2016-2917 Slideshow Schedule includes:
- Nov. 10 – Tim Corcoran – “The Making of a Conservationist” Through his fabulous photographs of Santa Cruz and the Central Coast, Tim shares his journey as an earth caretaker, always working to save the land.
- Dec. 8 – Rick Demarest – “Bears Ears National Monument” Saving the archaeological and cultural treasures of Southern Utah. Photographs from 15 years of wandering the canyonlands of Cedar Mesa.
- Jan. 12 – Bruce Johnston – “Everest Base Camp Trek”
- Feb. 9 – Dennis Johnson & Steve Bollock – “Under the Grizzly Aurora – The Noatak” Ten local adventurers, trapped by bad Arctic weather, punctuate a show about the arctic tundra environment.
- March 9 – Double feature: Mike Sojka – “Telluride to Moab Bikepacking Trip” followed by Aaron Beverly & Dave Cressman – “The Sierra High Route“ A Ski Traverse of the Sierra Nevada
- April 13 – Rich Rudow – “The Grandest Walk” ….Outside Mag “2012 Adventurer of the Year” Rich, one of the Grand Canyon’s most intrepid explorers, shares the tale of his recent 700 mile through-hike below the canyon rim.
Siskiyou Land Trust is dedicated to the long-term stewardship of agricultural, forest and wildlands in Siskiyou County by working with willing landowners, agencies and organizations.
