Did you know watching birds is good for your health? Come look into the lives of birds in our neck of the woods, why birds are so special, and what they can do for you.
Siskiyou County has diverse habitats, open spaces and many recorded bird species. How can we attract and enjoy these gems in our yards and keep a healthy atmosphere for all to enjoy? What are the benefits/negatives of feeding birds? What are the natural ways of attracting birds?
While this show, presented by Kendra Bainbridge of Raven Tree Mt Shasta, will emphasize local birds, there are many similarities with seemingly far-flung localities such as Costa Rica. Kendra recently travelled to Costa Rica and will share her two week birding experience. Many birds from both locations have a migration link as well as human linked losses. We will talk about a few of these disturbing issues and what we can do on a personal level to help.
Join in on this healthy way of living and find out how you can help keep it rich. This program is a fundraiser for the Siskiyou Land Trust, donation of $8 to $10 per person requested. Thursday, March 8th, at the Mt Shasta Sisson Museum. Door opens 6:30pm, show begins 7:00pm.
