Warm Wishes from Siskiyou Land Trust!
Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Many thanks to friends and family who have contributed to the Land Trust this year, this season, this week on the North State Giving Tuesday online platform, and who are planning to support Siskiyou Land Trust on Giving Tuesday!
In this time of receiving support from community near and far, let us pause to appreciate the moments we’ve all had connecting with our natural world.
Who has been out for a walk and stopped abruptly to search for that bird whose shadow just crossed your path or whose call captured your heart and attention? Who has been out driving and stopped to take a photo of a rainbow, the captivating colors of the setting sun, passing wildlife, or snow-covered mountains? Who has taken a drive to see the newly free flowing Klamath River and rejoiced with news of her salmon returning home? Who has bundled up to load of firewood and stopped to glance of a shooting star and the moon rising before heading back inside to listen to an owl hooting? These moments connect us, reminding us that we are part of this incredible natural world – here to witness its beauty, care for these places we call home, and give back to these lands and flowing waters in gratitude for all they give to us. These moments make life everywhere so special.
We’ve put together a newsletter to expand on the highlights shared in the 2024 Annual Report and share seasonal updates from this Fall.
Thank you for being a part of the Siskiyou Land Trust family. May this holiday season bring you moments of peace, joy in nature’s beauty, and the warmth of community.
Warmly,
Kathleen Hitt
Executive Director
