Siskiyou Land Trust works with other organizations on a wide variety of projects, from preparing for conservation easements to building trails. Here are just a few community partnerships where SLT is playing a role.
Mt. Shasta City Park to Downtown Greenway – The Mount Shasta City Park to Downtown Greenway is both an existing public trail that goes from the Mt. Shasta City Park and a long term vision that will eventually create a multi-use urban trail going from the City Park to downtown Mt. Shasta City. Spring Hill Trail – Since its creation, the Spring Hill Trail has become one of the most popular trails in the area. The trail was originally created in 2010 through a temporary license agreement between the landowner, Crystal Geyser Water Company, the Siskiyou Land Trust and the Mt. Shasta Trail Association. The Great Shasta Rail Trail – This regional project will convert the abandoned McCloud River Railroad into a scenic multi-use recreational trail for public enjoyment. The project is being coordinated by the newly formed GSRT Association with assistance from a coalition of non-profits, including the Siskiyou Land Trust. READ MORE…
Mossbrae Falls Trail – Siskiyou Land Trust is one of many organizations and businesses working with the Mt. Shasta Trail Association to build a a safe, scenic route to the famous waterfalls on the Upper Sacramento River.
