On Friday morning, April 28th, join Jennifer Silveira (retired USFWS botanist) and Laura Bradley (SLT Stewardship) as we tour Siskiyou Land Trust’s newly acquired China Hill property near Yreka.
This property was specifically acquired to protect the endangered Yreka Phlox, a rare and beautiful member of the phlox family that only grows in five locations, all in the vicinity of Yreka, Two new SLT conservation easements provide protected habitat – the first habitat conservation plan for this species.
We will be looking at wildflowers as well as birds on this 1-2 mile stroll on gravel roads. Don’t forget your binoculars.
Participation is limited, so please sign up below. There is no charge for the event, but we encourage you to make a donation in support of SLT Nature Walks and conservation work if you are able. To donate, visit https://give.donationpay.org/siskiyoulandtrust/donations/
